Specialized Containers
Flat racks, bunded stores, non-standard lengths and purpose-built units for loads a plain box will not take.
Some loads do not fit through a door. Flat racks drop the side walls so machinery can be craned on and strapped down. Bunded units hold a sealed sump under the floor for fuel and chemicals. Odd lengths turn up from time to time.
If the job is unusual, ask. A conversion often costs less than the specialist unit you were about to hire.

Flat racks
A deck with fixed or collapsible end frames and lashing points down each side. Used for plant, pipework, boats and anything wider or taller than a container interior. They are rated for heavy point loads that would damage a standard floor.
Bunded stores
A sealed secondary containment tray under the floor catches spills and keeps them out of the ground. Required for a good deal of fuel and chemical storage. Check the bund capacity against the volume you intend to keep in it, as the requirement is usually a proportion of the largest vessel.
