30,000 Gallon ASME Skid Tank

A 30,000 gallon ASME LPG/propane storage bullet mounted on skids. Approximate dimensions are 109 inches in diameter and 65 feet overall length, with a 250 psi maximum allowable working pressure at 125°F.

• Capacity 30,000 gallons
• Approximately 109 in diameter, 65 ft overall length
• 250 psi MAWP at 125°F
• Internal valve with manual emergency shutdown
• Optional site-glass and back-check equipment
• Can be customised to site requirements

Sixty-five feet is the number to plan around. Before this is ordered, somebody needs to confirm the delivery route, the crane position and the bearing capacity of the ground it will stand on. Those three questions cause more delays on bulk storage projects than lead time does.

Skid construction means the vessel can be set and connected with minimal ground work and relocated later, rather than being fixed to piers and buried pipe. On a terminal, a depot or a large industrial site with a changing layout, that flexibility is usually worth more than the small saving on a fixed installation.

The 250 psi MAWP is quoted at 125°F, which is the point of stating a temperature alongside a pressure: the rating is meaningful at the top of the expected operating range, not just on a mild day. Siting, separation and installation follow NFPA 58, and at this capacity those distances are substantial.
