Why buy a new 20ft rather than a used one?
Two reasons. The container will be seen by customers, or it is about to be converted and cutting into clean steel costs less in labour than repairing a tired shell first.
Are new 20ft containers CSC plated?
Factory-new units carry a CSC plate with full validity, which matters if the container will ever be shipped or stacked loaded. Initial certification runs five years from the manufacture date, with re-inspection every 30 months thereafter.
Can I choose the color?
Stock arrives in the manufacturer color. A repaint to a specific shade is quoted separately and is usually a small part of the total on a new unit.
Is a new 20ft the same size as a used one?
Yes. ISO 668 fixes the external dimensions, which is why any 20ft stacks and locks with any other regardless of age or manufacturer.
