Flat Pack Units

Flat rack containers and flat pack cabins: open decks for oversized loads, and panel-built units that assemble on site.

Two different things share this page, and it is worth being clear about which you want.

A flat rack is a container deck with end frames and no sides, for machinery and loads that overhang. A flat pack cabin ships as panels and is bolted together in place, for sites a crane cannot reach.

Flat racks

Rated for heavy point loads that would go through a standard container floor. Lashing points run down both sides, and end frames are fixed or collapsible depending on the unit. Used for plant, pipework, boats and transformers.

Flat pack cabins

Panels, a floor and a roof that assemble with hand tools. Slower to commission than a finished container, and the only option where the unit has to go through a door, up a stair or onto a roof.
