About this unit

An anti-vandal 20ft office container in used condition — in service and structurally sound. Chosen for a fitted-out working space. Every unit is inspected before it leaves our yard, so the grade below is what you will actually receive.

20FT X 8FT Office/Canteen/Toilet Anti Vandal/ Shipping Container
This 20-foot by 8-foot shipping container is offered as a multi-purpose steel structure. It is designed to function as a secure office space, a site canteen, or a base for toilet and sanitation units. Constructed from heavy-gauge steel, this unit is built to withstand demanding environments and provide a secure, enclosed space . It is suitable for construction sites, industrial facilities, agricultural operations, and remote locations requiring durable infrastructure.
Key Features

Multi-Purpose Design: The interior space is a blank canvas, suitable for conversion into an office, a dry canteen, or configured to house toilet and sanitation systems.

Anti-Vandal Specifications: Constructed with materials and locking mechanisms intended to resist forced entry and vandalism in unmonitored or high-risk areas .

Durable Steel Construction: Built with Corten steel, which is known for its high strength and weather resistance, ensuring longevity in outdoor conditions.

Standard Dimensions: Offers a standard footprint and height, making it compatible with existing container handling equipment for transport and positioning.

Weather-Resistant: The steel structure and sealed doors are designed to protect the interior from rain, wind, and dust.

Detailed Description
The 20FT X 8FT shipping container is a robust, steel unit originally manufactured for freight transport and repurposed for secure site accommodation. Its primary function is to provide a durable, lockable space that can be adapted to various operational needs. The container’s structure is formed from corrugated, heavy-gauge steel panels welded to a strong steel frame, creating a rigid and stackable unit.
As an anti-vandal unit, this container is specified with reinforced door hinges and heavy-duty lock boxes to protect the contents and interior fit-out from theft or damage. The steel construction itself acts as a significant deterrent to forced entry. When used as a site office or canteen, the interior can be fitted with insulation, electrical wiring, and joinery to create a functional workspace . When intended for use as a toilet block, the steel shell provides a durable structure within which plumbing and sanitaryware can be installed, protected from the elements and potential damage.
The exterior is typically finished with a corrosion-resistant primer and paint system. The double doors at one end allow for wide access, which is useful for moving equipment in and out or for installing larger internal fit-outs. Forklift pockets along the base facilitate easy loading, unloading, and repositioning on site.

Compatibility / Intended UseThis container is compatible with standard flatbed trucks, tilt-tray trucks, and container-lifting equipment such as forklifts and cranes via its corner castings. It is intended for use in the following sectors:

Construction: As a secure on-site office, tool store, or lunchroom for personnel.

Events: As a secure storage unit for equipment or as a base for facilities.

Industrial: As a secure storage unit for materials or a satellite office in manufacturing plants.

Agriculture: As a weatherproof shelter for equipment, feed, or supplies.

Sanitation: As the external structure for portable toilet and shower units in remote camps or sites.

Dimensions and capacity

Internal dimensions are approximately 19 ft 4 in × 7 ft 8 in × 7 ft 10 in (5,898 × 2,350 × 2,393 mm), giving 1,170 cu ft (33.1 m³) of usable space, with double doors at one end. These are the standard figures for a 20ft container; exact internals vary slightly by manufacturer.

Condition

This is a used container that has been in service. It is wind and watertight — no holes, working door seals, an intact roof — but it shows its history: surface rust, dents and previous owner markings are normal and do not affect how it performs.

What it is good for

This unit is commonly used for a fitted-out working space. Doors, windows, insulation, electrics and paint can all be added before it ships — it is cheaper and neater to specify a conversion while the container is still in our yard than to modify it on your site afterwards.

Standards and inspection

Containers intended for international shipping carry a valid safety approval plate under the Convention for Safe Containers, administered by the International Maritime Organization. Condition grades such as cargo-worthy follow the inspection criteria published by the Institute of International Container Lessors. If you need a unit for shipping rather than static storage, tell us and we will confirm its plate before dispatch.

Delivery

Delivery is quoted against your site access rather than published as a flat rate, because haulage for a container depends on the distance, the approach and whether a crane is needed. Most deliveries use a tilt-bed truck, which needs a clear and reasonably level run about twice the container length. We price it before you commit.
