Delivery
How Long Container Delivery Takes
What happens between placing an order and the container arriving.
Stock containers move faster than modified ones, and that is the main thing that decides the wait. A container going out as it stands needs a vehicle and a slot. One being cut, lined, wired or painted needs the work done first, and conversion time depends on what is being fitted.
Access affects timing as well as cost. A site that needs a crane needs both the crane and the truck on the same day, and that is a scheduling problem rather than a haulage one.
The sequence
- Order confirmed and payment settled
- Delivery slot arranged against your site availability
- Container dispatched
- Delivery and placement

Delivery is quoted against your address and site access, so the price depends on where the container is going and what the truck can reach.
Frequently asked questions
How soon can a container arrive?
Stock units go out as soon as a vehicle and a slot line up. Within 100 miles of a depot that is 1 to 3 business days; 3 to 8 days out to 600 miles; 8 to 15 days beyond that.
How long does a conversion take?
It depends what is being fitted. Roller shutters and personnel doors are quick; a lined and wired office takes longer. Modifications such as painting, lockboxes and vents add 5 to 7 business days to the transit time.
Can I choose a delivery date?
Yes, within the available slots. Tell us the days the site can receive a truck and whether access is restricted at certain times.

We will give you a date when we quote rather than an estimate now, because the honest answer depends on the container and the route.
