This used 45ft High Cube shipping container is a practical choice when you need more capacity than a standard 40ft unit can provide. It is pallet-wide, structurally sound and suitable for storage, cargo transportation and, where the required certification is in place, international shipping. With an internal length of around 44ft 5in and an internal height of approximately 8ft 10in, a 45ft High Cube container gives you plenty of room for large or bulky cargo. The pallet-wide design is also useful for businesses moving palletised goods, with capacity for approximately 33 Euro pallets or 26 standard pallets, depending on the exact pallet dimensions and loading arrangement.

45ft High Cube Container Features

Our used 45ft containers are built for demanding storage and transport applications. They are supplied in wind and watertight condition, with plywood flooring, air vents and lashing points for securing cargo during transportation.

Because these containers have previously been in service, their appearance will vary from one unit to another. You may see normal signs of use such as dents, surface marks, paint variation or previous owner markings. If you want a cleaner finish, repainting can be arranged before delivery. A lockbox can also be fitted as an additional security measure.

Dimensions and capacity

Internal dimensions are approximately 44 ft 5 in × 7 ft 8 in × 8 ft 10 in (13,548 × 2,350 × 2,698 mm), giving 3,035 cu ft (86 m³) of usable space, with double doors at one end. These are the standard figures for a 45ft high cube container; exact internals vary slightly by manufacturer.

A high cube adds a foot of interior height over a standard container, which matters for stacked pallets, machinery on wheels, or any conversion where headroom decides the build.

Condition

This is a used container that has been in service. It is wind and watertight — no holes, working door seals, an intact roof — but it shows its history: surface rust, dents and previous owner markings are normal and do not affect how it performs.

This unit is commonly used for extra headroom for tall loads and conversions. Doors, windows, insulation, electrics and paint can all be added before it ships — it is cheaper and neater to specify a conversion while the container is still in our yard than to modify it on your site afterwards.

Standards and inspection

Containers intended for international shipping carry a valid safety approval plate under the Convention for Safe Containers, administered by the International Maritime Organization. Condition grades such as cargo-worthy follow the inspection criteria published by the Institute of International Container Lessors. If you need a unit for shipping rather than static storage, tell us and we will confirm its plate before dispatch.

Delivery

Delivery is quoted against your site access rather than published as a flat rate, because haulage for a container depends on the distance, the approach and whether a crane is needed. Most deliveries use a tilt-bed truck, which needs a clear and reasonably level run about twice the container length. We price it before you commit.
