Description
This 40-foot high cube shipping container offers approximately 320 square feet of enclosed space with an internal height of 8 feet 9 inches. The unit was utilized for a single freight voyage and has been retired from active shipping service. Construction consists of COR-TEN weathering steel.
As a one-way container, this unit exhibits minimal cosmetic wear. The double doors at one end open to the full width of the container. Vents are integrated into the container design to allow airflow. The plywood floor provides a surface elevated above ground level. Corner castings at each corner allow for lifting and transport.
The high cube configuration provides additional vertical space suitable for taller equipment or storage configurations. This extra height is achieved through extended corner posts while maintaining the same external footprint as a standard 40-foot container.

Dimensions and capacity

Internal dimensions are approximately 39 ft 5 in × 7 ft 8 in × 8 ft 10 in (12,032 × 2,350 × 2,698 mm), giving 2,694 cu ft (76.3 m³) of usable space, with double doors at one end. These are the standard figures for a 40ft high cube container; exact internals vary slightly by manufacturer.

A high cube adds a foot of interior height over a standard container, which matters for stacked pallets, machinery on wheels, or any conversion where headroom decides the build.

Condition

This unit is new. It has not carried freight, and the paint, floor and door seals are as they left the factory.

What it is good for

This unit is commonly used for extra headroom for tall loads and conversions. Doors, windows, insulation, electrics and paint can all be added before it ships — it is cheaper and neater to specify a conversion while the container is still in our yard than to modify it on your site afterwards.

Delivery

Delivery is quoted against your site access rather than published as a flat rate, because haulage for a container depends on the distance, the approach and whether a crane is needed. Most deliveries use a tilt-bed truck, which needs a clear and reasonably level run about twice the container length. We price it before you commit.
